Liverpool defender Gemma Bonner hosted an online session centred around the 2023 Women's World Cup aimed at building confidence and belief with people with autism and learning disabilities.
Bonner, who rejoined the Reds last December following spells with Manchester City and Racing Louisville, has previously worked with leading social care charity Community Integrated Care and was proud to deliver a powerful session in the build-up to the tournament. The organisation is one of Britain’s biggest social care charities and was founded in the Liverpool region 36 years ago with their head office based in Widnes.
Bonner shared tips on finding self-belief with a look back at her career, and the importance of trying new things. She shared her experiences from an outstanding career that has seen her represent the Lionesses, Manchester City and Liverpool, her broadcasting work in media, and insights into stars to watch out for at the World Cup this summer..
