It is a quick turnaround for Jurgen Klopp and his men as they go from playing on Wednesday night to competing in this weekend's early kick-off - an away trip to Crystal Palace.
A loophole in Premier League rules has made the kick-off time possible, so the Reds can only do their best to recover in time for the match. They will be waiting on the fitness of Alexis Mac Allister, who stressed he should be okay after being given stitches on an ankle wound sustained at Bramall Lane.
Klopp will be addressing the media later this morning, so an update on the Argentinian's fitness - and that of team-mates Joel Matip, Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota amongst others - can be expected.
In transfer news, Wolfsburg centre back Maxence Lacroix is the latest defender suggested to be on Liverpool's radar as they need reinforcements in that area of the field.
