The Reds are just three points off first place after nine Premier League games and could arguably be closer to top spot, if not for their controversial defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Jurgen Klopp is in the process of building a new-look side but the team continue to pick up results that could see them in title contention by the end of the season.
After missing out on a Champions League last term, despite a phenomenal run of form, many may view the Europa League as a distraction for Liverpool. However, the competition offers the chance for Klopp to rotate his team and allow some of his star names to recharge their batteries for the league campaign.

Liverpool will be without Andy Robertson as the full-back has undergone surgery on the injury he suffered on international duty. As a result, Kostas Tsimikas will be expected to continue to deputise in his absence.
In midfield, there has been no further update on either Thiago Alcantara or Stefan Bajcetic’s progress. Thiago last featured in April, while youngster Bajcetic briefly returned in September before another spell on the sidelines.
