Luis Alberto leaves Lazio: "I don't want to receive €1 from Lazio anymore"
Lazio secured a valuable win on Friday to stay in the race for Europe. Igor Tudor's side, who lost to Roma last time out, got back to winning ways with a 4-1 th rashing of an out-of-sorts Salernitana side.
Felipe Anderson was the star of the show with his brace, but Luis Alberto took over at the end of the match. The player from Cadiz spoke to DAZN and said: "I will leave the team at the end of this season".
The news has shaken the foundations of Lazio, who will lose a star player at the end of the campaign."It's been 2-3 tough weeks because of what happened (Sarri's resignation). It's my last season here. I don't want to receive €1 from Lazio anymore. I've already asked to terminate the contract and part ways. It's over. I had a great time, but I think the time has come for me to step aside and leave the club my salary for other players".
Luis Alberto, who has been in rebellion in recent summers, announced his farewell right off the bat, even though he has a contract with the 'biancocelesti' until 2028. The midfielder signed a four-year extension just six months ago.
