Luke Littler, the young darts star who has been making waves in the sport, has suggested he might hang up his darts by the time he's 27.
After his amazing performance at the PDC World Championship final earlier this year, Littler has hinted that he could retire early, just when many players are hitting their stride. If the Runcorn-born star keeps climbing the ranks like he is now, he will be on track for a legendary career, with some people even suggesting that Phil Taylor's incredible record of 16 world titles might be under threat, even though the 17-year-old thinks the idea of challenging 'The Power' is "crazy".
However, Littler's latest comments suggest that Taylor's records might not be in danger after all. During a visit to his house in Warrington by The Times, Luke showed off where he keeps all his trophies. He said: "There's a big windowsill and a little windowsill and they've all got trophies and when you go down, as you come in the house, there's a set of drawers with just trophies on it, and in the living room there's trophies on the floor. Then I've got trophies in boxes in drawers. So, literally, no room."

When asked about the possibility of needing a bigger home for all his trophies if he continues to win, Littler considered the idea but then suggested that he might retire early. "I've been playing a long time in the juniors, in the old British Darts Federation," he said. "I might just do 10 or 15 years and retire, if I've had enough."
