Mac Allister reveals his pre-match ritual Salah STOPPED after joining Liverpool
The Argentine, who completed a move to Anfield from Brighton last summer for an initial £35million fee, has established himself as a key cog in Jurgen Klopp's swashbuckling machine.
Mac Allister began the season in a deep midfield role but the emergence of Wataru Endo has allowed him to move forward and exert a greater influence on recent Reds games.
The 26-year-old has also managed to speedily endear himself to his new colleague, perhaps best shown in his relationship with Darwin Nunez. But Mac Allister recently opened up on the interaction with star man Salah - revolving around his fashion choices - that led him to alter a ritual carried over from his days with the Seagulls.
'When I was at Brighton I used to wear trousers, and then I came here,' The World Cup winner said in an interview with the club.
'I remember against Sheffield United we went out to do the warm-up and I was wearing a hat and trousers and Mo told me "What are you doing? Why would you wear that?"
'Since that day I have never worn trousers again. Only because of Mo.'
Mac Allister has been Liverpool's best performer over the last month with goal involvements in each of his last four matches.
The Reds are locked in a titanic Premier League title tussle with Arsenal and Manchester City going into the final stretch of the campaign. Klopp's side sit second behind the Gunners on goal difference.
