Manchester United are in the process of giving Scott McTominay a new contract, according to the Daily Star.
The Scotland midfielder has been a key player for Erik ten Hag after being rejuvenated under the Dutch manager. McTominay has found himself netting some crucial goals for United this term as they battle to qualify for Europe.
In 34 appearances - across all competitions - this season, McTominay has netted nine times, seven of which coming in the Premier League. Among his contributions has been a double in the 2-1 win over Chelsea as well as two in three after netting in the dramatic triumphs at Wolves and Aston Villa.

The Star have claimed that almost 12 months after being deemed 'surplus to requirements', Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos Group have stepped in and are looking to reward him with an extended contract. The 27-year-old has just over 12 months remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford - with a view to extend - as he approaches the final year, concerns could be raised over losing him on a free transfer.
However, the report adds that there is no urgency to tie him down. Meanwhile, United are said to be closely monitoring Boca Juniors starlet Aaron Anselmino.
