Manchester United fans were hoping for clarity during the international break on Sir Jim Ratcliffe's minority acquisition of the club.
However, it is looking less and less likely the deal will be agreed now as the USA celebrate Thanksgiving today. Due to the festivities no official announcement is expected now until next week which pushes back Ratcliffe's involvement in the Reds further still.
While this news is not ideal, Ratcliffe will still take a 25 per cent stake of the club and will still be handed the keys to the football side of United. After Richard Arnold's exit last week and MEN Sport understanding John Murtough is next to leave, rumours are persisting about who could be about to join the boardroom with a new name thrown into the mix.

With Murtough expected to leave, the race for who will take his spot is hotting up. According to The Independent, a new name to enter this conversation as former Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards.
It is understood Edwards is highly thought of at INEOS having overseen the Jurgen Klopp project at Anfield up until his departure in June 2022. However, there are question marks as to whether the 44-year-old would like to return to football.
Both Dougie Freedman and Paul Mitchell were named as alternatives by the report.
United could face a UEFA charge if they qualify for Europe next season with Ratcliffe as the club's minority owner - IF Ratcliffe's Ligue 1 side Nice also secure European football.
