Premier League transfer windows are always full of gossip and rumour-mongering – and one Manchester United star has had enough.
After a website sharing news about United wrote a story claiming that Amad Diallo was set for a loan deal to the Championship, the 21-year-old blew up on X (formerly Twitter).
He replied to the website’s social media post, stating: “stop lying mate!”
The website then issued a grovelling apology and deleted both its initial post on X as well as the story itself, writing: “As United fans, we would love to see you play and tear it up now that you’ve returned from injury.”

The promising forward joined United in 2021 for a reported £19 million but has struggled to break into the first team and has been sent on repeated loans, including to Sunderland where he scored 14 goals in 42 games.
He has played just ten times for the Red Devils, but could look for more minutes in the second half of this season – especially with some other struggling attackers set to depart.
23-year-old Jadon Sancho is closing in on a loan deal to rejoin Borussia Dortmund in Germany for the remainder of the season.
According to The Athletic, Dortmund will pay a £3.5m loan fee (that could rise with bonuses), while other reports claim United will continue pay around £100,000 of Sancho’s almost £300,000-per-week salary.
