Mauricio Pochettino was dealt two major blows ahead of Chelsea's clash against Bournemouth. Noni Madueke and Marc Cucurella were omitted from the matchday squad at late notice, but they look set to return for the Blues' meeting with Aston Villa this weekend.
The Blues now have 12 first-team players nursing knocks at the moment and Pochettino will want as many of them back as possible before welcoming Aston Villa to west London this weekend. Of course, Christopher Nkunku and Wesley Fofana are expected to still be out for a while, but the likes of Armando Broja, Moises Caicedo and Benoit Badiashile could return.
