Roma are one of a number of Italian clubs who would consider signing Mason Greenwood, talkSPORT understands.
Manchester United are deciding whether to agree a settlement over the final two years of Greenwood's contract, sell him or send him out on loan.
The Red Devils announced on Monday that the 21-year-old will leave the club following his arrest in January 2022.
Greenwood has been suspended since he was arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill.
Erik ten Hag's side launched their own internal investigation after the CPS dropped all charges against Greenwood in February 2023.
It has been widely reported that United's chief executive Richard Arnold had told the club's executive leadership in early August that the club were planning to bring Greenwood back.
But following increased pressure on the club, the decision has been made for Greenwood to move on.
