Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen expects Mason Mount to flourish at his old club eventually following his move from Chelsea in the summer.
Mount was Erik ten Hag's first bit of summer business in pre-season arriving for a fee of £55m. At the time, the England international was seen as a welcome addition to the Reds' midfield which had been looking light on numbers.
However, the 24-year-old's season was halted before it had really begun. Mount missed five matches through injury but has now recovered and will be looking to build some momentum now the international break has come to an end.

At the beginning of the campaign, the ex-Chelsea man was awarded the famous No.7 shirt which has been worn by legends including Owen at United. Speaking to Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE YouTube channel, the 43-year-old is adamant Mount will be a good signing for the Reds.
"Mason Mount is obviously a top class player," he explained, "I think he is a very good signing.
"Obviously they have paid the 'going rate' and I think it's a decent chunk of money but he is young, he's English, he is going to be there for a very long time and he is obviously a very good player. I don't think anyone can complain with that signing, it is a very solid signing and you know what you are going to get."
Mount will be hoping he has impressed enough in training this week to earn a place in Saturday's matchday squad when the Premier League returns. The Reds travel to lowly Sheffield United who have yet to taste victory since their return to the top flight in the summer.
