Mikel Arteta has brand new unlikely Arsenal undroppable for Sheffield United clash

Mikel Arteta will be hoping his Arsenal side can continue their impressive recent goal-scoring form in the upcoming clash against Sheffield United. From their last six Premier League games, the Gunners have scored 25 goals with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz among those finding the back of the net.

To further the likelihood of another dominant win for Arsenal, Sheffield United have conceded five goals in each of their last three home games. In the reverse fixture, the north Londoners also put five past the Blades with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Fabio Vieira on target after Eddie Nketiah bagged a wonderful hat-trick.

«For me, he's top level,» Arteta said on the striker back in November after the 5-0 victory. «He's played… I think he has started eight out of the 10 Premier League games. So that tells you how much we trust them, how much I trust him and the importance that he has in the team.

»Really happy for him, an Academy player to experience in the Premier League a hat-trick. He needs to enjoy the moment. He fully deserves it and hopefully there are many more to come.

«He can be better — yes, and the best thing he's got already is that talent that he's got, but especially his mentality is incredible. And when he has that mentality with that talent, obviously, he's going to get much better.»

Despite Arteta's significant praise, Nketiah has started just three games following that performance, with two of those coming in the immediate aftermath of his three goals. Even though more injury issues have been suffered by Gabriel Jesus, Arteta has rarely turned to the 24-year-old with Leandro Trossard or Kai Havertz instead being deployed centrally.
