Mikel Arteta to Man Utd truth revealed as Arsenal learn Sir Jim Ratcliffe stance on Erik ten Hag
It has been revealed whether or not there is any truth in the speculation linking Mikel Arteta with a switch to Manchester United. Erik ten Hag faces a somewhat uncertain future at Old Trafford as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to rebuild the club from top to bottom.
The British billionaire has already drafted in the likes of Sir David Brailsford, Jean-Claude Blanc and Omar Berrada to assist in the boardroom. Despite having only acquired stakes in United late last year, Ratcliffe has made great progress so far and he's shown no sign of slowing down either.
With Ten Hag under pressure to prove his worth to the INEOS chairman, Rio Ferdinand claimed that Arteta would '100 per cent' replace the Dutchman if offered the chance. Speaking on the podcast FIVE, the former United defender said: «Arteta would leave Arsenal to come to Man United, 100 per cent.

Arteta sees his contract at the Emirates Stadium expire in 2025 and, despite reports linking him with a switch to Barcelona too, he has no intention on leaving north London anytime soon. In a column for CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano clarified that the Red Devils are not currently in the market for a new head coach.
