Mohamed Salah has underlined the difference Liverpool's strong start is already having on their outlook for the season.
The Reds stand only three points off the Premier League summit in fourth place after Saturday's 2-0 win over neighbours Everton moved them on to 20 points from nine games.
Last term, it took Jurgen Klopp's side 14 matches to reach that landmark following a disappointing start that ultimately cost them Champions League qualification. And Salah - whose double against the Blues has moved him on to seven league goals already this campaign - believes results during the opening few months have given Liverpool the momentum to challenge for honours.

"It's a good start," said the Egyptian. "We all had a good start, not just myself – from other players as well. As a team, we are doing good and we try to win the games, which is the most important thing.
"It's really good because it's really important to start the season well, so you can keep fighting for everything. If you're struggling you just need to keep fighting just to get the rhythm and the momentum. But when you start the season well, you just have a good vision and it makes everything easier during the season."
Salah was talking after being named Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month for September, a period during which he scored three goals and provided two assists.
