Jarrod Bowen has credited Mohamed Salah as the best goal poacher in the Premier League.
The West Ham United winger has been in exceptional form this season, bagging six goals in nine top-flight appearances. An impressive start to the campaign earned Bowen an England call-up for the first time in 18 months.
Many expected a rebuilding job at the London Stadium after losing Declan Rice but, largely down to Bowen’s goals, the Hammers have steadied the ship. The winger made Liverpool heads turn by scoring the equaliser in an eventual 3-1 loss at Anfield last month.
Ironically, his goal cancelled out Salah’s 16th-minute opener - the man West Ham teammate Michail Antonio believes he can replace in the coming years. He told the Footballer’s Football podcast: “He (Bowen) is a bagsman. Everything he’s touching is turning to gold right now, but hey, it’s going to cost some serious dough, man just signed a seven-year deal!

“All that money you’re getting in from Salah, you’ll have to give that to us! Obviously, he’s quality, left-footed and plays on the right side like Salah so he probably is the perfect replacement but it isn’t going to be easy to get him out. It won’t be easy because that’s a seven-year contract man has just signed.”
While Bowen refused to be drawn over transfer speculation, he did acknowledge Salah as an influence on his career. A right-footed forward with a knack for scoring goals, the Hammers talisman implements many of the same attributes to his own game.
