Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been praised for his exemplary work in calling for peace when it comes to addressing war-related issues.
Salah, 31, has often been outspoken in calling for a ceasefire between Israeli and Hamas troops and did so following the recent blast that saw over 500 killed at a hospital in Gaza. As tensions continue to rise during the ongoing dispute, the Liverpool forward is just one of many high-profile stars who have been praised for standing up when needed.
The Egyptian forward peacefully called for world leaders to come together in order to save the lives of millions who are continuing to be affected. The current conflict started just over a month ago on October 7 with a series of attacks committed by Hamas - which claimed the lives of around 1,000 people, including 260 people at a music festival. An estimated 10,000 deaths have already been reported in Gaza after the Israeli response, according to the health ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave.

The events have left the world shocked. Salah has been praised for his approach throughout, with Ian Bayley, a senior lecturer in sports journalism at Staffordshire University, telling BBC Sport Africa that the 31-year-old should be commended for standing up to make his voice heard.
"Salah is an example of someone who was under severe pressure to take sides because of his nationality," he began "But he took a step back and said: 'What I stand for is peace and an end for suffering'."
