AS Monaco are looking to profit from their shared ownership situation to bring Cercle Brugge forward Kévin Denkey (23) to the Principality club this summer, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
Denkey has had an exceptional season with Cercle Brugge. The Togolese forward finished as top scorer in the Belgian Pro League regular season with 22 goals, whilst he has 25 goals in all competitions this season. This feat has drawn interest from a handful of French clubs, as well as Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
Lille OSC, RC Lens and Olympique Lyonnais are all interested in Denkey, but Monaco may have an advantage in the race to sign the prolific goal-scorer. In Dmitry Rybolovlev, Monaco and Cercle Brugge share the same owner. The Principality club may look to use this to their advantage to sign Denkey.
Cercle Brugge are likely to demand €20m for Denkey, with Les Monégasques set to offer the striker an “irresistible” offer, according to Tavolieri.
