L’Équipe are reporting that AS Monaco have tabled an offer of €5m for Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo (25) as Les Monégasaques look to strengthen at the back.
Monaco have a long-standing interest in English centre-back Adarabioyo. The Principality club were linked with a move for the Fulham centre-back in January but didn’t table a bid. However, Monaco have now made concrete advances for the defender, whose Fulham contract runs until 2024.
Monaco’s opening offer is valued at approximately €5m, according to L’Équipe. The Principality side are in need of defensive reinforcements this summer. The defence was Monaco’s weak point last season, whilst departures are also expected. Axel Disasi has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, whilst it is now also expected that Chrislain Matsima will also depart.
Should Monaco’s move for Adarabioyo prove successful, the club will likely still need to strengthen further. Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu has also been linked with a move to the Stade Louis II.
