Chelsea fans are in a frenzy after finding an old tweet from Kylian Mbappe showing his love for the club.
The France international is at the centre of a huge transfer storm after Paris Saint-Germain left him at home for their pre-season tour of Asia.
The Ligue 1 champions are trying to sell their talismanic star after he opted against extending his own contract, which is now entering its final year.
So rather than lose him for nothing next year, PSG are hoping to recoup some fee while several clubs have been linked.
One of them tentatively included is Chelsea despite their lack of Champions League football next season.
Nevertheless, Mbappe's old tweets have resurfaced and have given Blues fans hope that an outrageous transfer can be pulled off.
Quote-tweeting a post referring to Diego Costa and Eden Hazard in Chelsea colours dedicating goals to an injured Willian, Mbappe wrote: «Plus qu'une équipe.»
That translates to «More than a team», which was posted in October 2016, the last season the Blues went on to win the Premier League.
And Chelsea fans have responded in droves after the tweet went viral in light of recent news that the World Cup winner is on the market.
One fan responded by saying: «Come home big bro.
Another wrote: „He’s Chels through and through you can’t tell me nothing.“
A third said: „Kylian is proper Chels.“
