Premier Soccer League on Thursday announced the fixtures for the 2023-24 season of the DStv Premiership. The season will begin on August 4.
The defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will kick off their campaign with a match against the Nedbank Cup runners up Sekhukhune United on a Friday night, when the season kicks off.
The new Kaizer Chiefs coach, Molefi Ntseki, will look to make an instant impact when his team hosts Chippa United on Sunday 6 August at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The former Amakhosi technical director took over from Arthur Zwane, who was relegated to assistant coach alongside Dillon Sheppard.
In his first match as manager of the Swallows, Steve Komphela, a former assistant coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, will face his former club Golden Arrows at the Mpumalanga Stadium as he begins his tenure. Komphela coached Arrows for 20 months after replacing Clint Larsen in December 2018.
The Nedbank Cup champions Orlando Pirates will get their season underway away to Stellenbosch and the KZN derby between AmaZulu and Royal AM is set for Saturday in the opening block of fixtures.
The first Soweto derby in the league will be on November 11.
