On the Waterfront festival has announced a lineup of Britpop and indie stalwarts for its Friday night show. The festival will take over the Pier Head from Thursday, June 20 to Sunday, June 23 2024.
Britpop legends Ocean Colour Scene, who boast hits including 'The Riverboat Song’ and ‘The Day We Caught The Train’, are headlining. The band are known for their rip-roaring live shows and incredible guitar riffs.
Liverpool band Cast will be supporting them. Noel Gallagher once described watching Cast play live as a “religious experience”. The group have a huge global fanbase thanks to hits such as ‘Guiding Star’ and 'Walk Away'.

Embrace, The View, Republica, The Sway and Keyside will also be playing.
On the Waterfront attracted over 45,000 people last year. Kicking things off on Thursday June 20 will be the UK’s biggest open-air comedy show with award-winning comedian Paul Smith at the helm, joined by Hot Water Comedy regulars Jojo Sutherland, Mick Ferry and Jamie Hutchinson.
Saturday June 22 sees dance music rule the roost as Ben Hemsley takes to the stage with support from blk, with plenty more DJs still to be announced. The weekend will be brought to a close on Sunday June 23 with a headline performance from Scottish legends Deacon Blue, with the full line up still to be revealed.

Tickets for Friday 21st June go on general sale at 10am on Friday March 1, with limited tickets available for remaining shows.
