You can get your phone locked away and take a break from technology in a secluded cabin less than an hours drive from Liverpool.
Unplugged runs a series of off-grid cabins in the UK, giving people the opportunity to switch off from technology in a quiet location. Upon visiting one of its cabins, guests are asked to store their device in a lockbox to unwind and explore their surroundings.
The firm claims guests at its cabin have the opportunity to to alleviate issues including poor sleep, anxiety, and dwindling attention span stemming from high screen time.

Unplugged’s Luna cabin, based in Cheshire, previously held space for two guests. Now it has been expanded to include room for three adults or a small family due to high demand for cabins that sleep more than two people.
The Luna is fitted with panoramic windows next to the main bed so that guests can wake naturally and swap ‘blue light’ for ‘starlight’. It is also stocked with luxury brands such as Piglet bedding and Dark Arts Coffee.
Dogs are also welcome. The expanded cabin will allow smaller children to sleep in the additional bed.
On arrival, guests are asked to lock their digital devices, including mobile phones, in a lockbox for three days. These are swapped for an old school Nokia mobile (Snake included), a physical map to explore the scenic surroundings and an instant camera with film.
The cabins also include books, board games and a functioning kitchen for cooking and dining. No WiFi is available.
