While the January transfer window remains open Liverpool will continue to be linked with some of the biggest names in European football as the Reds look to solidify their standing at the the top of the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's side came within two matches of a completely unprecedented quadruple two seasons ago but after a major dip in performance last time round, the mentality monsters appear to be back to their best for this campaign. League leaders, a game away from the Carabao Cup final, into the fourth round of the FA Cup and comfortably progressing in the Europa League, it could be another season to remember under the German.
Liverpool were in need of a midfield rebuild last summer and it's fair to say that it was delivered in no uncertain terms with the Reds engine room now virtually unrecognisable from the previous season. But the pursuit of progress waits for no man and with a few injury problems to contend with, Klopp could well consider another dip into the transfer market this month as he looks to tweak his winning machine to the maximum.
