David Moyes thinks Declan Rice should be welcomed back to West Ham ‘with open arms’ — but not everyone agrees.
The England regular will return to the London Stadium tonight in the Carabao Cup, but this time wearing the red and white of Arsenal.
Ahead of the game his old manager Moyes said: “He should be welcomed back with open arms. We’re all looking forward to seeing him again.”
Discussing the issue, talkSPORT host and former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy put his feet firmly in the ‘no booing’ camp.
“If you boo Declan Rice, you’re an absolute disgrace, you’re a disgrace to your club,” he said.
“What really is annoying me is they bigged him up ‘we want £110million’ yet when he left they all came crawling back saying ‘we’re a better team without him’ all of a sudden West Ham’s season is grinding to a halt.
“Here’s what I want to hear, West Ham fans calling up tonight and showing their appreciation for what he did at the football club, what he achieved and what he delivered.”
