According to Fabrice Hawkins, PSG and Warren Zaïre-Emery (18) have still been unable to reach any agreement on a potential contract extension for the France international midfielder. The 18-year-old has been the breakout star for Les Parisiens thus far this season.
In a rather impressive breakout season, Zaïre-Emery has quickly become an integral part of Luis Enrique’s PSG squad and has also made his professional debut for Les Bleus. However, the 18-year-old’s France debut was brought to an abrupt end as he suffered an injury.
The PSG academy graduate’s meteoric rise this season has forced Les Parisiens to rush to try and extend Zaïre-Emery’s contract at the Parc des Princes. Previously there have been reports of a verbal agreement between the two parties but these latest developments indicate that there is still work to be done before the PSG midfielder extends his contract with his boyhood club.
Despite the player and club being unable to find an agreement, PSG have not lost faith in their attempts to extend Warren Zaïre-Emery’s contract. According to Hawkins, PSG officials are still optimistic of finding an agreement and the midfielder signing a new contract.
