According to Foot Mercato, following a busy summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain have begun the search for a new sporting director. Despite a summer transfer window with lots of squad turnover and the capture of key targets in the transfer market, Luís Campos’ position as Les Parisiens‘ football advisor could be under threat.
The former Lille sporting director played a major role in PSG pulling off the late move for Randal Kolo Muani on deadline day – a move at one point that looked impossible. However, the higher-ups at Paris are reportedly not satisfied with the work of the Portuguese strategic advisor. Campos operates in a dual role at present, also acting as the sporting director for Celta Vigo.
Former PSG left-back Maxwell is a name high on the list of consideration of the PSG board. The Brazilian already helped the Ligue 1 champions in the conduction of their business during the summer transfer window. This has put him in a good position to be in contention to become the new director of football at the Parc des Princes.
