According to L’Équipe, PSG’s pending move for Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt is now off and the player will stay in the Bundesliga. Randal Kolo Muani will not move to PSG, despite the club agreeing a fee worth €90m, according to LÉquipe.
The pending deal was dependent on Frankfurt signing a replacement for the French international. The Bundesliga club attempted to convince Hugo Ekitiké to join on three occasions, but the former Reims forward rejected all three approaches. Frankfurt were also linked with Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, but he has stayed at the Allianz Arena. However, with the German transfer window now closed and the club failing to sign a forward – the deal has now collapsed.
Despite the belief that the deal has collapsed following the German transfer window closing, PSG haven’t given up on the deal, according to Saber Desfarges. Nasser Al-Khelaifi went into a rage following the closure of the window and is not ready to give up on signing the former Nantes striker. The PSG president and Randal Kolo Muani’s agent plan to put pressure on Frankfurt to accept the offer, even if they haven’t found a replacement.
