Rangers lost a 'battle' against Benfica because the Portuguese giants were impossible to break down, according to Danish defender Alexander Bah.
Rangers are out of Europe after a second leg defeat to the Portuguese giants in the Round of 16 tie at Ibrox. Benfica had to withstand waves of Rangers attack to survive and Bah revealed they knew what was coming their way at Ibrox.
He said: "I'm very happy. We knew it was going to be difficult. The atmosphere at Ibrox is very good and Rangers put us under a lot of pressure. But we fought very well in a battle and played a good game. Rangers threw a lot of crosses and fought a lot. We defended very well, from the strikers at the front to the defenders. I'm very happy with the performance and I think everyone is because it was a hard game.
"I think we needed to win here to gain confidence for the rest of the season and we managed it."
