Jude Bellingham was left impressed by the performance of Virgil van Dijk during Liverpool's Carabao Cup final win on Sunday afternoon.
The Dutch defender saw a goal ruled out during the second half of the game due to Wataru Endo interfering with play while stood in an offside position, though headed past Djordje Petrovic with two minutes remaining in extra time to take the trophy back to Merseyside.
It was a captain's performance from Van Dijk, who was equally as impressive in defence as he constantly continued to close down players and win his aerial duals. Unsurprisingly, he was named Man of the Match - as was also the case when Liverpool faced Chelsea in the 2022 Carabao Cup final.
Impressed with what he saw from the 32-year-old, former Liverpool transfer target Bellingham left the following comment on the former Southampton star's celebratory Instagram post: "What a player."
