Restaurant loved by celebs promises 'unforgettable' event

A Liverpool restaurant is hosting an ‘unforgettable’ evening of live music.

Gaucho is a popular Argentinian steakhouse located on Water Street in Liverpool city centre. Since opening in 2022, it has become a popular destination and has been visited by Coleen Rooney.

The restaurant aims to bring the culture of modern Argentina to Liverpool every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night with entertainment, live music and DJ’s. Now, it is hoping to showcase the musical talent of Scousers.

Gaucho Grassroots Music Lates is described as a “musical extravaganza”. Done in collaboration with wine brand Hennessy, the nationwide events will give local music talent a platform to perform. The venue has said each of these will aim to be an “unforgettable evening celebrating the best new music, handcrafted cocktails and culinary delights.”

In Liverpool, this will take place on May 24 and two Scouse singer songwriters will take to the stage. These will be Jazmine Johnson, a Liverpool singer songwriter specialising in pop, soul and RnB, and Faye Donna Francis, who mixes jazz with the same genres.

The kitchen will be open until late, offering visitors a glimpse of its summer menu and a complimentary Hennessy cocktail from a five-strong list.

Gaucho CEO Martin Williams said: “As live music venues are sadly closing at a rate of knots up and down the UK, Gaucho is proud to provide a space for these talented artists to perform and get their music heard.”

Gaucho Grassroots Music Lates in Liverpool will take place from 10pm until midnight on May 24. More information is available here.
