Tottenham are finally back in action on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Chelsea's involvement in the Carabao Cup final last weekend meant that Spurs' league game at Stamford Bridge was postponed until later in the season. That meant a two-week break for Ange Postecoglou to work with his team following the disappointing defeat to Wolves in the Premier League the previous weekend.
Now Oliver Glasner, fresh from his debut victory in the dugout with Palace, will bring his team to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday. We asked our Spurs reporters Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest to give their thoughts — before Postecoglou has delivered his team news — on what the Tottenham starting line-up this weekend might look like. Here are their predicted teams.
Spurs were so flat against Wolves and they need a bit of a shake-up following two weeks of work on the Hotspur Way pitches. Destiny Udogie is back in training which is a major boost to the way Postecoglou's team plays, although it is unclear at this stage whether Pedro Porro will also be back in time.
Postecoglou must decide who plays in the anchor man role in the midfield with Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur fighting for that spot between Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison, who are more likely to keep their spots with the attacking edge they bring.
Up front, Richarlison struggled against Wolves and with his absence notable in training footage and images in recent days, perhaps doing some individual running after a knock, Postecoglou might be forced into play Son Heung-min through the middle if he wasn't going to anyway. That would see Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson battle it out to come into the team.
