Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has named Arsenal as the top team in the Premier League, ahead of title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Gunners are currently embroiled in a three-way battle for thePremier League crown, with only two points separating them from current leaders Liverpool. Man City are in third place, one point behind Arsenal in a race that could go down to the wire.
Liverpool are arguably the favourites to clinch the title in what is Jurgen Klopp's final season at Anfield. The Reds have secured 21 victories out of their 30 league matches this season, suffering defeats only to Arsenal and Tottenham.
Arsenal are once again challenging for the title after coming close last season. The additions of players like Declan Rice during the summer have aided Mikel Arteta's side in accumulating 68 points and boasting the best goal difference in the league.
Despite being third, it would be unwise to dismiss Manchester City's chances of securing a record fourth consecutive league title. They also harbour ambitions of achieving back-to-back trebles under Pep Guardiola.
However, despite his high regard for Liverpool and Manchester City, De Zerbi has singled out Arsenal as England's best team as he readies his Brighton squad for their clash against the Gunners this weekend. When asked if he considers Arsenal to be the Premier League's top team, the Brighton boss responded: «Yes. Liverpool are another top side with different characteristics and a unique style,» he said (via the Metro). «Man City's style is more similar to Arsenal but when Arsenal are on form, they're a tough team to beat.
