Chelsea have taken a huge step towards completing the transfer of Romeo Lavia from Southampton. The 19-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for a while now and the Blues appear to have finally secured his signature.
Lavia, who sees his contract at St. Mary's expire in 2027, featured 29 times for Southampton in the Premier League last season, missing a large chunk of the campaign due to a hamstring injury. Despite his eye-catching displays, he couldn't steer the club clear of relegation from the English top-flight.
With Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp both desperate to further bolster their midfield options this summer, Lavia has been subject to bids from both Chelsea and Liverpool. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up all the latest talk on the Belgian's future amid reports that the Blues have wrapped up a deal.
