The League of Ireland and RTÈ confirm that four fixtures from the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division have been selected to be broadcast live when the new season kicks off.
The opening night will see Champions Shamrock Rovers host Dundalk at Tallaght Stadium on Friday February 16 (8pm) while Derry City will welcome the Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup winners St Patrick's Athletic to The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium on Friday March 1 (7.45pm).
Newly promoted Galway United will take on Stephen Bradley's side on March 15 at Eamonn Deacy Park (7.45pm) with the Dublin Derby between Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians at Tallaght Stadium on Friday March 29 (7.45pm).
The four games will be broadcast on RTÈ2 and RTÈ Player with a further fixture to be broadcast on Friday April 5 on both channels to be confirmed in due course with more live televised games to be announced later in the season.
