Sadio Mane, playing for Al-Nassr, was lucky not to get a red card after he grabbed an opponent by the throat during a heated moment.
The incident happened in an AFC Champions League quarter-final second leg match against UAE team Al-Ain on Monday. The ex-Liverpool forward was given a yellow card by the referee after he put his hand around the neck of Al-Ain substitute Saeed Juma.
Al-Ain's manager Hernan Crespo saw what happened and tried in vain to show the referee what Mane did. Mane's team-mates tried to calm him down and he didn't get any more punishment, but it was still a bad night for Al-Nassr, who lost on penalties and were knocked out of the competition.

Al-Nassr started the game needing to make up a 1-0 loss from the first leg in the UAE, but they found themselves 3-0 down overall just before half-time thanks to two goals by Soufiane Rahimi. This meant they had a lot of work to do and they really tried.
