Sam Kerr's girlfriend Kristie Mewis arrives in Sydney ahead of World Cup semi
The mind games have begun ahead of the Matildas World Cup semi-final showdown against England on Wednesday, with the girlfriend of Aussie star Sam Kerr arriving to support her partner - who will be playing against her ex.
Currently in the spotlight for her blossoming relationship with Australian striker Sam Kerr, Mewis previously shared her heart with England forward Rachel Daly.
Kerr and Daly will be going head-to-head on Wednesday with a World Cup final berth up for grabs.
There is no question of loyalty for Mewis, though, who will be 100 per cent behind her current partner Kerr after touching down in Sydney for the big match.
Mewis and Daly's story began as teammates on the Houston Dash in the American Major League Soccer competition.
Their friendship flourished into a romantic partnership in November 2017, adding a layer of intrigue to their on-pitch chemistry.
After two years together, Mewis and Daly decided to part ways, keeping the reasons behind their separation private. Despite this, they continued to be teammates until 2021.
