Santiago Gimenez made Ajax fans so mad they destroyed their own stadium during the match
Feyenoord was up 3-0 in «De Klassieker» when the match was abandoned
Fireworks are usually expected in "De Klassieker" between Ajax and Feyenoord, but not like this. The match was abandoned with Feyenoord leading 3-0 thanks to Santi Gimenez's heroics, as Ajax fans began to protest over their club's woeful start to the season.
The local Amsterdam clash had to be stopped in the middle of the second half because Ajax fans had thrown flares onto the pitch, creating a player safety hazard. When the match was stopped, the protests got worse. Videos spread on social media show Ajax faithful storming through the stadium breaking doors and vandalizing the Johan Cruyff Arena.

«We understand the disappointment among supporters. We have a really bad start of the season. There is a lot going on around our club. But, that is no reason for this actions. We strongly disapprove this. The measures we take in the Netherlands do evidently not work. Not enough,» said interim Ajax chief executive Jan van Halst.
El Tri striker Santiago Gimenez scored the first two goals of the match within 18 minutes of play to kick off a miserable day for Ajax. He also set up the third goal for Igor Paixao. The frustrations of the Ajax supporters were music to the ears of the Feyenoord players, and to fans of the Mexican National Team.
