Scott McTominay has told his teammates they need to block out the negativity surrounding the team and be better after the international break.
The midfielder came onto the field on 87 minutes and netted two stoppage-time goals to turn the game on its head to see Manchester United to a vital 2-1 win. McTominay has been in fine scoring form for Scotland this calendar year but had been unable to transition that into his club game.
But ahead of joining back up with his international teammates ahead of this month’s international break, the 26-year-old netted twice to rescue United following dismal losses to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.

"That might be one of my favourite moments on a football pitch,” he told Premier League Productions after full-time. “Two goals at the death was incredible, but I am just happy to be able to contribute and show people that I can do it."
When asked what manager Ten Hag had told him prior to entering the field, McTominay replied: "It was very loud, the fans were roaring us on so I couldn't hear fully. He probably said something like: 'Go on and score,' which is what I did."
United had lost four of their opening seven league games before kick-off and looked like they were about to tally a fifth until the third minute of stoppage time.
McTominay was involved in a goal that was ruled out for offside a few moments earlier but fired home six minutes after coming on to level the tie before heading home with almost the last touch of the game four minutes later.
