The investigation around the RFEF into alleged irregular contracts related to the agreement with Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup continues. After the searches carried out on Tuesday by agents of the Guardia Civil's Central Operational Unit (UCO) and the arrest of Luis Rubiales by the Public Prosecutor's Office, according to 'Onda Cero', Gerard Pique's company Kosmos is now under investigation by the Tax Agency, as reported by 'El Independiente'.
The aforementioned media reports that the company, whose job is to organise sporting events, is being investigated by the Tax Office for its intermediation during the negotiations that ended with the Spanish Super Cup in the Asian country.
The newspaper has had access to the order of the judge in charge of the case, in which the Tax Agency wrote a report to know in detail the funds received by Pique's company from Sela Sport, the Saudi public company that pays 40 million for each edition of the tournament and four million for Kosmos.
It should be remembered that the contract stipulated between Saudi Arabia and the RFEF was extended until 2029, so the income obtained by the company of the former Spanish international would reach 36 million euros. The RFEF assured at the end of April 2022 that Rubiales did not receive any commission or agree anything with Kosmos, following the phone calls that 'El Confidencial' revealed between the former president of the Federation and the former footballer during the negotiations of the Spanish Super Cup.
