Uefa Euro 2024 teams:
Group A:
Switzerland - Switzerland’s best Euros performance came in 2020, when they stunned France on penalties in the round of 16 before a quarter-final exit at the hands of Spain, also on spot kicks. Defeated Ireland 1-0 in Dublin on Tuesday night thanks to a Xherdan Shaqiri free-kick.
Germany - Three-time winners and three-time runners-up, Germany are hosting their first Euros since reunification (West Germany staged the finals in 1988).
Scotland - Steve Clarke’s Scotland will be looking to make it out of the group stage at the Euros for the first time this summer.
Hungary – Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai will captain a Hungary side that have now made it to their third tournament in a row after a 2-2 draw in Bulgaria edged them over the line.
Group B:
Croatia - Captain Luka Modric could feature in his ninth major international tournament and will aim to guide his side past the round of 16, the point where they have been eliminated in their last two appearances.
Italy – Winners in 2020, Italy snuck into this summer’s tournament after holding on for a goalless draw against Ukraine, when defeat would have seen them drop to third in their qualifying group.
Albania - Albania booked a place at their second-ever Euro finals (previous qualification was in 2016) with a nervy 1-1 draw in Moldova in their penultimate qualifier.
Spain - Luis de la Fuente's Spain side will be hoping for a record-breaking fourth Euro win in Germany; they are currently level with the hosts on three triumphs.
Group C:
Denmark - Kasper Hjulmand's experienced Denmark squad reached the last four at Euro 2020, their best showing at any finals since they famously won the competition in 1992.
