The Carabao Cup second round draw breakdown: Chelsea and Spurs will be included

The Carabao Cup is already well underway, with the second round draw set to take place this evening.

The first round of the competition got underway last night, with League Two newboys Wrexham defeating Wigan Athletic on penalties.

Sheffield Wednesday were on the brink of going out of the Carabao Cup, but Tyreeq Bakinson scored a late equaliser to take the game to penalties - with the Owls going on to win the shootout 4-1 against Stockport County.

Tonight's draw sees the likes of Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Tottenham and Wolves included.

The Carabao Cup second-round draw will take place later this evening.

It will be shown live after Burton Albion’s clash with Leicester City tonight.

The draw will likely take place at around 10.15pm BST.

Fans will be able to watch the second-round draw on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.

The draw will also be streamed on the official Sky Go app.

The second round of the Carabao Cup will take place on the week commencing August 28.

The ball numbers for the second round are yet to be confirmed by the EFL.

There will be 12 Premier League teams in the draw for the next round.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham will all feature in the second round of the competition, while Premier League newcomers Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United will also be involved.
