Former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has revealed that Ronald Araujo used to successfully thwart Lionel Messiduring training sessions.

Araujo, who made the move to Barcelonafrom Uruguayan club Boston River in 2018, has firmly established himself as a stalwart in the Blaugrana defence during the past two seasons.
Throughout the 2022/23 season, the defender appeared in 43 matches, scoring four goals, and accumulating an impressive 3270 minutes on the pitch.
Suarez, who shared the field with Araujo during their brief time at Barça and continues to be his teammate in the Uruguayan national team, has recently showered the young defender with compliments.
He affectionately refers to Araujo as 'the wall' for his ability to halt the advances of Barcelona legend Lionel Messi during their training sessions in the past.
