Stan Collymore has claimed that Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah can fire Liverpool back into title contention.
The Reds endured a difficult campaign last season which saw them finish outside the top four, for just the second time in Jurgen Klopp's tenure. A rebuild over the summer took place and Liverpool have seemingly put the foundations in place to restore their place back among Europe's elite and challenge the upper reaches of the Premier League table.
They went into the October international back on the back of a defeat and a draw but sit three points away from league leaders, Tottenham Hotspur.
Signs have been positive at Anfield with the emergence of Nunez as well as the consistency of Salah. The addition of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister has stabilised the midfield, with the likes of Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch providing further options following their summer moves.

Spurs, under the guise of new manager Ange Postecoglu, are the early pace-setters ahead of North London rivals Arsenal on goals scored.
The upcoming run of fixtures provide some respite from the likes of trips to Chelsea, Newcastle United and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - starting with Everton in the Merseyside derby.
