Tierney admits he doesn't talk to Arteta to leave Gunners future in doubt

Kieran Tierney admits he remains in the dark over his Arsenal future and has not had any discussions with Mikel Arteta because the manager is too busy.

The Scotland full back is spending the season on loan at Real Sociedad and describes his time in La Liga as “an incredible experience.” While Tierney is not ruling out a return to the Emirates, he says at present he has no idea what he will be doing after the summer. And he believes the example of William Saliba, who was sent out on loan to three different clubs but has now become one of the Premier League ’s centre backs, proves nothing should be ruled out.

"In football you never know," Tierney told talkSPORT. "It's a bit strange that you can come back the way [William] Saliba did. It is strange to be on loan for four years and then return to play. Football is crazy, so we'll see. I'm not talking to Arteta, he's busy there." Tierney has made only 11 league starts for Real Sociedad and featured just once in their maiden Champions League campaign. Yet the 26-year-old is not ready for his temporary spell at the club to end.

He added: “Honestly, this is an incredible experience, I enjoy it. It’s a shame that there is so little time left, there are a good six or seven weeks left of the season." And Tierney is also tipping Arteta’s current squad to go all the way in a three-team Premier League title race.
