Todd Boehly may have had his future business plans as Chelsea owner leaked after Argentina President Javier Milei suggested that the American has looked towards his nation's football as a place to invest for the future.
The Blues chairman, who took control of the club through his BlueCo. consortium back in May 2022, has not had the smoothest journey into football ownership after a torrid 18 months at Stamford Bridge but ended up purchasing Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg earlier this year.
It comes as the Blues try to establish themselves among other holding companies like City Football Group (CFG), Red Bull GmbH among others by buying other clubs to imitate the business model that has led to so much success for the respective clubs owned by them.
Holding companies like CFG have managed to create a worldwide network of affiliated clubs that can mutually support each other through player sharing and combined scouting, a process that many aren't happy about. However, Boehly has never been one to shy away from the extreme since entering football as an owner and is now reportedly looking towards Argentina as his next place to invest.
While Man City's parent company initially looked towards North America and Australia, as well as within Europe, to found their base, it appears as though Boehly is going through France and then straight into South America — a place that has seen a lot of interest from the Blues during transfer windows in the months since he took over.
