Bayern deadline
Bayern are insistent they want to get a deal done, with Harry Kane their priority target and the persistent comments from in and around the German club have irked those in north London. Bayern president Herbert Hainer said this week: «Bayern always try to bring in stars. Harry Kane is a highly attractive player, the England captain and a top scorer. He would do us and the Bundesliga good.»
Reports have suggested they are 'confident' of sealing the deal and there now appears to be a deadline for getting the transfer completed. According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, the German team want the deal done by next week.
He said: «The club are still very positive about the deal and are hopeful the Englishman played his last match for Tottenham against LC Sailors. They would like to complete the deal before Spurs’ next match against Shakhtar Donetsk on August 6 in London.»
Maguire mission
Spurs have been linked with Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven and Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba, but have not managed to secure a deal for either as yet. Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo is also high on the list given his price tag with one year remaining on his contract and his homegrown status.
