As a result, it appears as though they have gone to extra measures to try and bring in fresh faces ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Seven positions are said to be eyed by the club — a left-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, winger, no.10 and striker.
West Ham's situation has even been a cause of humour for pizza giants Dominos, who made a cheeky dig at their lack of spending.
