Tottenham player ratings vs Fulham - Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison and Dragusin struggle in poor loss
Tottenham sank to a miserable 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Spurs fell to a penalty shoot-out defeat at Craven Cottage earlier in the season in the Carabao Cup. They were hoping to get a more positive result this time around after Ange Postecoglou's side pushed their top four destiny into their own hands with a resounding 4-0 victory at Villa Park last weekend.
Postecoglou brought in Radu Dragusin for his first start for Tottenham with Micky van de Ven out with his hamstring injury. Elsewhere the team remained the same, Brennan Johnson remaining ahead of Timo Werner thanks to his recent displays and Dejan Kulusevski involved in three of Tottenham's four goals at Villa. Rodrigo Bentancur was named on the bench due to the form of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma while Richarlison was back and available for selection after returning to training this week.
Fulham took the lead just before half time. A terrific ball from Antonee Robinson picked out Rodrigo Muniz at the back post in space and he took a touch and drilled it across Guglielmo Vicario and into the far corner.
With Spurs open in defence, the hosts doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half when Timothy Castagne's low cross hit the knee of Sasa Lukic and flew past Vicario.
It got worse for Tottenham when, from a corner, Calvin Bassey's shot hit the post and then Vicario and the ball rolled across the face of goal where Muniz beat Dragusin to the ball and forced it in. Spurs huffed and puffed but could not find a way back into the game.
