Tottenham Hotspur have learned their opening matchday fate as the WSL 2023/24 fixtures were release on Tuesday morning.
Spurs Women, who have just appointed new manager Swedish coach Robert Vilahamn following the departure of Rehanne Skinner at the end of last season, will face Champions Chelsea in the first match of the season on October 1.
It’s been a turbulent year for the Lilywhites, who were toying with relegation and interim boss Vicky Jepson was just about able to steer them to safety with a ninth-placed finish.
Next season they hope to increase their chances of a better position, but their opening fixtures aren't on their side.
They face newly-promoted Bristol City in their first home game of the season, but the Robins will be hoping to make a noise in the WSL.
Tottenham's final game of the season is at home against West Ham.
